In Western Canada, masons predominantly utilize a specific type of lath when wrapping houses. The mortar walls become significantly robust when exceeding 3/4" with this mesh. Typically, they prefer the mesh that features a "step" in the wire, ensuring it is positioned 3/16" away from the wall.
