Luminous Stone Deposit - The Legend of Zelda - IGN

A Luminous Stone Deposit contains luminous stones and flint and are found all over Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

You will get efficient and thoughtful service from Duote.

This deposit contains quite a bit of luminous stone. Crack it open to get at the easily processed rocks within.Play

Luminous Stone Deposits are not as common as Ore Deposits and are more easily seen at night since they are colored fluorescent green. They are plentiful around the Great Fairy Fountain near Tabantha Tower. They are usually found in harder-to-reach areas on mountainsides in the Eldin Region and Greater Hyrule.

They are easily broken up with a weapon or you can use a bomb. Use caution using a bomb because the contents will go flying, so be prepared to chase them and Link can be injured if he's too close to the blast.

Unlike Ore Deposits or Rare Ore Deposits they do NOT contain precious minerals, instead they contain Luminous Stone and Flint.

Luminous Stone Talus - The Legend of Zelda - IGN

Luminous Talus are a variation of the Talus minibosses in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They are very much like regular Stone Talus in almost every way, except the ore deposit on their back is made of Luminous Stone.

In this Tears of the Kingdom guide, we will teach you everything you need to know about the Luminous Talus, including how to beat them and where you can find them.

Official Description: This enormous monster is naturally camouflaged as a rock formation. Neither sword nor arrow can piece its stony form, but a cunning adventurer knows to scale its body and attack the ore sprouting from its peak. Stronger than your average Stone Talus, and unlike that creature, its ore deposit consists mostly of luminous stone.

Recommended Gear

Luminous Stone Talus are more-or-less the same as Stone Talus, so you don’t require any special gear to defeat them, but the following items will definitely prove useful :

- A strong bow
- Arrows
- A strong melee weapon, preferably a hammer.

How to Defeat a Luminous Stone Talus in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The most efficient way to take down a Talus is to climb onto its back and attack the ore deposit that protrudes from it. Since the ore deposit is made out of rock, hammer weapons deal the most damage.

To mount a Talus, hit its ore deposit with an arrow to make it slam its head into the ground. Then run up its back and let loose on its ore deposit with your strongest weapon. Hitting the ore deposit with an arrow will immediately cause it to fall to the ground, but it will also slam its head into the ground to spawn new arms when needed. You can run up its back then as well, but it doesn’t stay down for as long as it will if you’ve hit the ore deposit.

The Talus will shake you off after around five or six seconds, so you may need to repeat this process a couple of times to defeat it.

Alternative Strategy

While mounting a Talus and hitting its ore deposit with a strong melee weapon is the fastest way to defeat one, it is not the only way. You can also whittle down their HP by keeping your distance and hitting the ore deposit with an arrow. Bomb arrows are great for this strategy as they deal a decent amount of damage.

Attack Patterns

Luminous Stone Talus don’t really have many tools at their disposal apart from their large, boulder-like arms, so they are what you need to look out for. Each arm is extremely heavy and packs a serious punch, crushing you or sending you flying across the room.

Talus cycle through several different attacks that are all very similar. If you’re close to the Talus, it will slam its arms into the ground to crush you. If you’re too far away, it will hurl both arms at you instead, starting with the left one.

Once the Talus has thrown both its arms at you, it will slam its head into the ground to spawn more. This gives you a chance to mount the Talus but can also cause damage if you get too close.
