Driving the Future with Sustainable Cooling Technology

Carrier Transicold is enhancing its portfolio of zero-emission transport refrigeration solutions in North America, introducing a refrigerated trailer system that sustainably generates its own power through advanced energy recovery and storage.

The Vector eCool system integrates an all-electric Vector trailer refrigeration unit with a next-generation mobile power unit, designed specifically as a power source for Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs). This system employs in-wheel electric motors to harness regenerative power, transforming it into electrical energy that is stored in the unit's battery or distributed to the TRU as required. Additionally, the mobile power unit can be charged via a standard shore power AC connection, making it compatible with Vector series TRUs that operate on 480V 3-phase shore power for electric standby. This regenerated energy effectively powers the Vector refrigeration unit with zero emissions and minimal noise compared to diesel engines.
