Cassette & Combi Seals - Sealing Technologies

How does a Cassette Seal work and what are its properties?

Cassette Seals are used in rotating applications. The cassette seal consists of a running tube that is statically attached to a shaft and an oil seal that dynamically seals on the running tube. The cassette seal is one piece and uses radial and axial sealing lips, the primary sealing lip of which is supported by a spring. Cassette seals are very rigid robust sealing systems and are used in harsh and polluted environments.

KDIK are exported all over the world and different industries with quality first. Our belief is to provide our customers with more and better high value-added products. Let's create a better future together.

What are the characteristics of a Cassette Seal?

  • Suitable for harsh and polluted environments
  • High friction due to the extra sealing lips
  • Easy assembly
  • Suitable when using unhardened and unground shafts

Where are Cassette Seals used?

  • Agricultural machinery
  • Pumping
  • Soil Preparation Machines
  • Gears
  • Cardan shafts

What does a Cassette Seal consist of?

  • Static seal inside (shaft)
  • Primary sealing lip
  • Spring
  • Space for grease lubrication
  • Interior Static Seal (housing)
  • Axial and radial dust lips

What materials are Cassette Seals available in?

  • NBR
  • FPM/FKM
  • EPDM

Resistant to high loads

Cassette seals and combination seals from Freudenberg have a very long service life and can withstand very extreme conditions. Because they can withstand extreme conditions, cassette and combi seals are widely used in the agricultural sector and black industry. For this we rely on a combination of our proven and successful Simmerring and a permanent counterpart. Thanks to the streamlined system solution with integrated labyrinth, the complete unit offers maximum protection against impurities that only a system of this type can achieve. The integrated counterpart meets the special requirements of a dynamic seal. Cassette and combi seals allow axial and rotational movements and are therefore extremely flexible.

Protection against dirt

Freudenberg cassette and combi seals have a high reliability and a long service life. They last a long time, especially under the toughest conditions. The cassette and combi seals consist of a patented Simmerring and an enclosed counterpart. This cartridge and combination seal design has numerous sealing elements in one component and offers excellent protection against external dirt. Bearings and rotating shafts are optimally protected, so no additional dirt seals are required.

Withstands the most challenging working conditions

Cassette and combi seals are used in many places such as construction sites, mining, agriculture or transportation. The work machines used there must withstand the most challenging environmental conditions: humidity, harsh weather conditions, huge temperature fluctuations, UV radiation, but also sand, mud and ozone. Therefore, Cassette Seals and Combi Seals must be reliable and must not fail under challenging working conditions. Freudenberg cassette and combi seals are always reliable, even under the most challenging working conditions: for example, they reliably protect wheel bearings of heavy machinery against water and impurities and at the same time keep the oil in the bearing. The seal combination combines maximum performance with maximum reliability.

Product Range

We offer cassette seals and combination seals from Freudenberg in various diameters and widths, which are always of the best quality and are very reliable. Our range of cassette seals and combi seals, including product and material information sheets, ordering options, prices and availability can be found on our website.
