Since the structure is a custom wood pergola designed to hold solar panels, I wanted more support for the rail that would be mounted 9-11 feet high and open to have wind pushing from behind as well as from the front. These were perfect to allow me to tie the rail to more of the 2"x6" studs about every 3 feet instead every 6 feet.

Hello- I've only used it once so far, but it seems to work fine, with my limited knowledge. Ran my RV fan all day on a hot sunny day with the panels working. It is pretty heavy for me to get it in and out of the car, but okay for moving around once it is out with it's handle.
